St Mich. North beat odds to last 8

ST MICHAEL NORTH survived being between a rock and a hard place to advance to the quarter-finals of the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Council Football Classic.

In a match that lasted well past midnight on Saturday, St Michael North defeated St Michael North East 1-0 at Eden Lodge.

The result delighted the large crowd of supporters because for most of the match St Michael North were on the back foot.

The match will go down in history as being the longest game in the tournament.

St Michael North were down to ten men early in the first half after one of their players received a red card. (PG)
