AS IMPORTED CHICKEN WINGS hit a market already filled with local birds, and with rumours of seven more containers to follow, an official in the agricultural industry says a meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture might just be needed to find out what’s going on.
And the CEO of the Barbados Agricultural Society has issued a warning to the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (BADMC) – we have helped you with one container, but check with us from now on.
Both BAS CEO James Paul, and president of the Egg and Poultry Producers Association, Carlyle Brathwaite, have admitted that one container of imported wings was brought into the island, through BADMC, about four weeks ago. (HLE)
