A NEW SET OF JURORS was welcomed Monday as the old set exited without deliberating on a single case in the No. 2 Supreme Court during the last six weeks.
The slow grind of criminal justice left Justice Margaret Reifer disappointed that none of the jurors first summoned in September were able to participate in a trial in the court.
Then in a repeat of what has been happening for the last six weeks. None of the six matters called in the court got off the ground, many adjourned for today in hopes of a trial.
Over in the No. 5 Supreme Court before Justice Jacqueline Cornelius the lone case started and for which a jury was empanelled ended up being adjourned again because the accused man is sick. (TKS)
