THE PEOPLE OF ST JOHN are about to stop frowning and start exhaling.
The message couldn’t have been any clearer: After hearing from Minister of Health John Boyce that the long-promised St John polyclinic will be opened on November 20, residents are expectant even if they are in wait-and-see mode.
Caution. Optimism. Expectation. These are three emotions of the folk of this parish.
Excitement will probably come later!
Frustrated by the many promises from both the Democratic Labour Party and the Barbados Labour Party over the last 20 years, some also said they weren’t holding their breath.
