Govt, ADC start housing project

MIDDLE INCOME Barbadians will be able to access more housing solutions now that the West Terrace Development Housing Project is back on track.

And the project will see scores of Barbadians securing much-needed employment.

Over a two-year period, seventy-four houses are being constructed, ranging in prices from $280 000 to $480 000 over a two-year period. Adrian Christie, chief executive officer of ADC Building and Maintenance Ltd, the company engaged in the joint venture with the National Housing Corporation (NHC), said Barbadians would be pleased with the designs of the houses as well as the location.

“The major selling point for this development other than the affordability of the houses is the proximity to all amenities. It is close to Warrens, the University of the West Indies and there is access to transportation. And for this price it is a steal of a deal,” he noted.
