DARREN MATTHEWS was second to the Dominican Republic’s Norlandy Sanchez in the feature event at the Beacon Cycling On The Avenue on Wednesday night in Trinidad.
Fresh from placing second in the UCI Tobago International Classic and third at the Tobago 4-stage event, Matthews was the only cyclist to be on the podium in all of the feature events in both Tobago and Trinidad.
He was also surprisingly third in the Flow Sprint Invitational two-lap race behind Sanchez and Anthony Rodriques, both of the Dominican Republic, who were representing Team Foundation.
