Conductor stabbed

POLICE WERE LAST NIGHT questioning two people, including a 15-year-old boy, in connection with a stabbing incident and attempted robbery at the van stand in Cheapside, The City.

Thirty-year-old Reco Forde, a PSV conductor, was detained at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) yesterday evening after being stabbed in the back multiple times.

Forde, of St Michael, suffered a collapsed lung after being stabbed just before 4 p.m. in the midst of shocked commuters.

The driver of the minivan on which Forde worked, Jamal Dash, 33, of Jackson, St Michael, is reported to have also been stabbed during the attempted robbery, but his injury was to the hand, and non-life-threatening. (BA)
