That is what president of the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations (CTUSAB), Cedric Murrell, said was the moral of the recent impasse between the workers of the School Meals Department and their employer.
The ministry was forced to revert to established hours of work after workers went on a work-to-rule earlier this week, to protest changes to their hours of work.
Murrell, who gave remarks at CTUSAB’s Mid-Term Conference at the National Union of Public Workers’ (NUPW) headquarters yesterday morning, said the entire situation could have been avoided if the ministry had gone through the appropriate channels.
