Nurses’ issue with 24/7 polyclinics still pressing

THE FUTURE of the proposed 24/7 polyclinic service remains undecided.

This after National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) officials and general secretary of Unity Workers Union, Caswell Franklyn, met with nurses at the NUPW’s Dalkeith, St Michael headquarters yesterday evening. 

Following a heated two-and-a-half-hour, closed-door meeting, acting general secretary Delcia Burke would only say they were scheduled to meet with the permanent secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Health on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ministry of Public Service..  (RA)
