Top cop wants the facts first

Police chief Tyrone Griffith will address the country later this week following a series of high profile crimes that include three home invasions and a series of shootings.

Acting Commissioner of Police Griffith is conducting an analysis of the crimes before he speaks to the nation on what appears to be an upsurge in criminal activity, especially gun-related crimes.

He told the SUNDAY SUN  yesterday that he was gathering all of the facts but lauded his officers saying “they are working really hard with very little support”.

The head of the Royal Barbados Police Force was critical of people, “including politicians, “talking off their mouths with no investigation, no analysis, nothing in their speeches.”
