CAVE SHEPHERD Broad Street was surely the place to meet today when RPB supporters gathered to witness this year’s Starcom Network People’s Monarch presentation.

Cheers and laughter came from onlookers when the announcer Ronnie Clarke handed RPB a single Barbadian dollar.

However, the bulk of the prize, a sum of $15 000, was presented by group financial controller of The Nation Corporation, Noel Wood.

A smiling Red Plastic Bag thanked his fans and his producers for his success.

“I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all the support they have given me over the years. As I have said victory comes long before competitions. When I produce a song and the people are loving it the way they love the song Spontaneous, I’m happy- for me that’s a victory in itself”

“I want to thank Red Boyz for doing an excellent job on this song. When I went into the studio they were all eager and excited to get involved with this song and they  did an excellent job with

Standing by his side after his crowning moment was Rene King who received 49 per cent of the votes.

“I give thanks and as you know Bag is my mentor. He is who actually get me into this thing and it’s a pleasure”. (LT)
