Another quake to the northeast

SEISMIC ACTIVITY continues in the Atlantic Ocean with another earthquake being recorded in the same zone to the northeast of Barbados.

At 5:23 p.m., the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre recorded a 4.0 magnitude quake approximately 114km to the northeast of Bridgetown.

It occurred at latitude 12.93N, 58.98W at a depth of 26 km.

There have been several quakes recorded in the same area since last Thursday.

Two people on the Centre’s facebook page said they felt it in Boscobel, St Peter and Spooner’s Hill, St Michael, respectively. (SAT)
