ONLY THE INTERVALS between events could prevent Sol Rally Barbados 2015 winners Jeff Panton and Mike Fennell Jr from facing the starter in the remaining events of the local season.

Panton made the announcement during the Rubis prize giving ceremony for Team Rubis at Bushy Park on Sunday.

Panton, who has been part of Team Rubis since 2012, is joined by Britain’s Paul Bird, who came on board two years ago, and Barbadian Neil Armstrong, who joined this year.

“Motorsport is on a low in Jamaica but it’s big in Barbados, and as long as we can leave the car here only the scheduling of events could prevent Mike [Fennell] and I from facing the starter,” Panton said. (TT)
