RAIN HAS DELAYED the start of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL T20 cricket match at Beausejour Stadium, St Lucia.

Play was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. between St Lucia Zouks and Guyana Amazon Warriors, the sixth match of the tournament.

However, the rain came about two hours before the start time. It stopped briefly and returned.

Most of the covers are off and the groundstaff are out trying to mop up the water.

According to the CPL, if there is no play by 9:10 p.m., teams will start losing overs and it could be as few as five per side.

The latest the match can start is 11:20 p.m., but umpires can inspect and call the match off at 10 p.m. (SAT)
