If boxing truly wants to pack a punch, the powers that be must back it all the way, says professional boxer and promoter Gardel Roberts.

He made the comment during an interview to announce a boxing card to commemorate Barbados’ 53rd year of Independence. The event will be staged in Guyana on November 30.

“Everyone in boxing needs to work together for the level of the sport to rise in Barbados. The reason we are having the event in Guyana is because the sport is very big there and it would bring interest to the level of the sport in Guyana,” he said. (RG)
