MINISTER OF SOCIAL CARE Steve Blackett today appealed to Barbadians to love, honour and respect the elderly.
He made the call while addressing a church service to mark the international day against the abuse of elderly people.
He told the congregation at Vauxhall Methodist Church that elder abuse could happen to anyone, and could happen anywhere.
Blackett also said that being an elder did not mean the individual did not have a valuable contribution to make to society. (TY)
