MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS will be overshadowed by Test cricket fever as Kensington Oval is expected to be bursting at the seams today.

A last-ditch effort to secure tickets by locals and visitors over the past five days has resulted in a near capacity crowd for the first three days of the decisive third and final Wisden cricket Test between the West Indies and England.

West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) senior communications officer Adriel Richard told the DAILY NATION last night that from looking at the figures, an average of 11 000 tickets had been purchased so far for each of the first three days of the five-day Test.(EZS/KB)
