Teachers get classroom management training

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS are receiving special training in classroom management techniques.

The workshop is being facilitated by retired principal Lucille Goddard at the Erdiston Teachers’ Training College. It started on Monday and ends Friday.

Goddard said some of the topics included What is a Stimulating Early Childhood Environment?; The Role of the Teacher; The Importance of Materials and Behavioural Management Techniques all under the theme Helping Hands in Barbados.

Goddard said that as part of the course, the teachers would bring in recyclable materials to transform the classroom into a stimulating environment. (CA)
