Never claim your illness

What you think about directly affects your circumstances; your thoughts become things. – Dr. Wayne Dyer’s The Power of Intention: Learning to Co-Create Your World Your Way.
GREETINGS! Today’s talk pertains to “Releasing negative talk about health challenges”.
The Collins Dictionary defines “possession” as ownership. Most people who possess things usually claim and protect them. Perfect examples are “my wife”, “my children” and “my car”. These things belong to us so we live to protect them.
Switch your attention now to claiming “sickness”. My diabetes and my high blood pressure. These verbal utterances soon become mental and physical claims.
I enjoyed being warned by the voice of the Creator to curtail claiming health challenges. Actually, repetition often programmes the mind and constant repetition of the negatives causes them to linger and grow.
Therefore, when I became fully conscious of my thoughts and their relation to health challenges, I immediately switched to thinking and verbalizing more positive language. It is better to state: “The blood pressure/sugar is high today but I am working on healing it.”
It is imperative to avoid claiming sickness.  Sickness is not yours. A prime example is diabetes, an ancient health challenge which was in existence before us. We may be diagnosed as diabetic but that does not make us the custodians of it. Remember, don’t claim sickness; it is a trespasser.
Gradually, a change in our thoughts can assist with healing. Healing is a process that involves many factors, including forgiveness, not dwelling on and laughter. This week Nola Estwick, a colleague of the schools’ management team, made an incredible statement. During a conversation about healing she said, “Maynard, we don’t want to go the long journey in healing but the lesson is in the journey. That is why we have to endure.”
Indeed. On one of my journeys, I lost a few pounds and encountered verbal harassment. That wound took time to heal but I overcame the obstacles. That is why I constantly inform readers that healing is a process and quick fixes are seldom entertained on the journey.
Finally, “Letting go” will assist with positive re-programming. We must practise “letting go” our negative self talk about health challenges. An excellent approach in letting go is through repeating the following: “I now release all negative thoughts about . . . (insert the challenge) and know the Creator will lead and heal me.”
Then repeat: “As I speak healing to myself, my mind is directing everything into positive alignment.”
I implore you, always speak healing into your life.
