Proud to be Bajan

THEY SAT BEAMING WITH pride, preparing to end a process that lasted years, all 120 of them waiting eagerly to begin new lives as citizens of Barbados.
They were welcomed and given some words of advice by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart who told them they had a role to play in continuing to build up the Barbadian society.
He also urged them, as Barbadians, to take pride and adopt an attitude which emphasized productivity.  
“Our success as a nation has been achieved because of a very strong determination to overcome the challenges that confront us and to make the most of the opportunities that come our way, whether they are great or small.
