AWRIGHT DEN!: Break the curse

I AM A CREATIONIST. In simple terms, I believe that God created man. It is on this premise that I write this article.
I am a young man, only 29 years of age, and over the last ten years I have recognized that some women make bad decisions based on their emotions, they allow men to confuse their minds with “sweet talk” and they “disobey” their husbands (female readers, don’t get flustered and upset, just keep reading, lol).
I have also recognized that some men find it hard to refuse a woman’s “offer”, generally disobey God’s commands and do not provide adequate leadership and guidance within their families (male readers, you do the same, just keep reading, lol ). Allow me the time to develop this hypothesis and hopefully be able to convince you of my reasoning. To do this, I start at the beginning.
Adam and Eve were the first humans created and were given a few basic instructions; take care of the earth, take care of each other, eat from every tree in the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil, have “nuff sex” and get “nuff” children.
In Genesis 1:27, God created man. In Genesis 2:16-17, God said to Adam, You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In Genesis 2: 22, God created woman.
In Genesis 3:1-3, the serpent approached Eve and asked her: “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” Eve responded: “God said, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die’.”
Now, something significant jumped out at me at this point. How did Eve know not to eat of the tree in the middle of the garden? She was not created when God gave Adam this instruction. This would mean that Adam, being a responsible husband, informed Eve of God’s instructions.
In Verse 4, the serpent convinced Eve to eat the fruit of the tree. In other words, Eve allowed the serpent to confuse her mind with “sweet talk”.
Portions of Verse 6 and 7 read: “When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened . . . .”
In Verse 6, Eve saw that the fruit was pleasing to the eye; this spoke to her emotions. She was unable to resist the temptation or make a wise choice because she was unable to control her emotions.
The verse went on to say that Eve ate the fruit, gave some to Adam and then their eyes were opened, representing the entry of “sin” into the world.
Now, have you ever wondered why their eyes weren’t opened when Eve ate the fruit but only when Adam did? Remember that the instruction from God was given to Adam, not to Eve. When Eve ate the fruit, she disobeyed her husband – but when Adam ate the fruit, he disobeyed God.
I am not convinced that Adam didn’t know he was eating the fruit from the tree of good and evil. I honestly believe that he found difficulty in refusing the ‘woman’s offer’.
After Adam and Eve sinned, they were ousted from the garden and since then the world as we know it has been filed with deceit, disobedience, greed, hatred, violence, disrespect, pain, selfishness and the list goes on. In my view, Adam and Eve messed up a really good thing.
The story outlined above is not an exact replica but a symbolism of what we are seeing in today’s societies.
It is the responsibility of man to provide guidance and leadership within the family and throughout the nation while being supported and in partnership with woman.
Adam and Eve messed it up many years ago and disappointedly we as a people continue to mess it up even today. Will you break the curse?
