Tremaine Smith taking 200

Seven records were broken and one equalled as Codrington powered to victory at The Lodge Schools’ Inter-House Track and Field Championships yesterday at the Society grounds.
Tremaine “The Train” Smith of Gooding set new record of 12 seconds in the Division 4 boys’ 100; 24.34 in the 200m and 56.35 in the 400m.
Akalya Morris of Codrington also set three new marks, including 13.43 in the Division 5 girls 100m; 28.4 in the 200 and a leap of 4.27 metres in the long jump which was done earlier.
Micah Herbert of Gooding leaped 5.51 metres to hold the new record in the Division 5 boys’ long jump and Shamar Barker cleared 1.42 metres to equal the existing record in the high jump.
Codrington were back on the top after a four-year break, ending Laborde’s three-year streak.
