Barbados will be sending a team to the 2013 CARIFTA Games in The Bahamas.
This assurance has come from Catherine Jordan, president of the Amateur Athletic Association of Barbados (AAB).
Jordan said yesterday that Barbados could not afford to miss the March 29 to April 1 meet.
“We can ill afford to not send a team to The Bahamas. CARIFTA started with us way back when [1972 in Bridgetown] and it would be the first time we would be missing CARIFTA,” Jordan said.
“As a country, we will do whatever is necessary to carry a team to CARIFTA. Everyone in the country should be concerned about it.”
