DEAR CHRISTINE: I want to warn women about lying man

Dear Christine,
I am writing to you with regret and a heavy heart. From the time I found myself in the situation I am in, I have been confused, frustrated and cannot sleep well.
I’ve realized that a man I?know is an indifferent liar and trickster. My instincts told me that he took me to his home to trick me into having sex. Here is my story.
Over six months ago, I visited the hospital to see a friend. While there I met a man who came up to me. We talked and exchanged numbers. On reaching home I called him and a woman answered his mobile. I asked to speak to him but she put the phone down. I called the next day and he said it was his daughter.
I met him the Friday and he took me to his house the following Sunday. He said he lived alone and was single. He showed me around when I got to his house and while we were in the yard I saw a pair of woman’s shoes. I asked whom the shoes belonged to and he said he did not know. I returned to the house and about five minutes later his girlfriend came in and started to beat me up. I was so afraid, I ran.
Christine, I am married with two children but I am separated from my husband because of bad treatment.
I want to publicly apologize to this woman and say I am sorry about what happened. I ask for her forgiveness because her boyfriend tricked me. I have since discovered what an “A class” liar and trickster he is.
While at his home, I saw a lot of women’s clothes, shoes and so on in a bedroom. I asked about them and he said they belonged to his daughter who stayed with him sometimes. He is an indifferent liar. When lies were sharing out, he got all. I know I should not have gone there so soon and blame myself for this. I am involved with a man and I had to tell him I went to part two women from fighting and got bruised.
In the trickster’s living room there is a photograph of him and a woman he said was his daughter. It was the same woman who beat me up. I also noticed he was wearing a gold chain and bracelet with a woman’s name inscribed on each piece.
I later asked him why he tricked me and said he did not have a girlfriend. He just bowed his head. I’ve learnt that he and this woman have been together for a long time.
Christine, a few days ago I saw him in Bridgetown with another man. He pointed me out and they started to laugh. To top it off, he yelled at me, said I deserved the blows I got, and called me a “boldfaced, daylight, backstreet whore”.
I’m warning other women not to fall into this trickster’s trap like I did. It hurts me deeply whenever I remember what he put me through and that he called me a whore. Maybe if his girlfriend hadn’t come, I would have had sex with him.
Please print my letter so other women can be aware.
– CONFUSED, SAD AND FRUSTRATED
Dear Confused, Sad and Frustrated,
I understand your plight and I am sorry about what you went through. This man will reap what he is sowing. However, your letter suggests poor judgement and stupidity on your part.
You talked about your instincts; why didn’t you back off then? You said he took you to his house. No! You went there willingly and you could have been killed because you knew nothing about this man.
You called him a liar but yet you also lied to your partner.
Don’t think I am being hard on you, but I have to point these things out. If you have a partner, why did you go to his house and why did you call him the second time when you realized a woman answered his personal phone the first time?
You also said you could have had sex with him. Were you planning to?
I am sincerely sorry about what happened to you, but don’t be so naïve a second time around.
– CHRISTINE
