ZAP! ZOOM! POW! Are you looking for a vitamin which is an awesome antioxidant? Or a vitamin that enhances insulin and improves blood glucose metabolism?
Pow! Literally, the search is now over. Vitamin E is what you are looking for. In fact, I have just revealed one of the best kept secrets in nutrition. It is often described as the “lightning rod of the cells” or “a dynamic cancer fighter”, and is naturally found in many fruits and vegetables.
Additionally, if you are excited and empowered about Vitamin E, this article will inspire your passion for knowledge.
Many people still believe that Vitamin E is one single substance. However, be informed that Vitamin E is a family of eight fat-soluble vitamins. Some are called tocopherols and the others are called tocotrienols. Research shows that tocotrienols may assist against pancreatic and prostate cancer.
Research also shows that Vitamin E can reduce cholesterol, prevent blood platelets from clumping together, keeps the nervous system healthy,  and protects lung cells that are in constant contact with oxygen and white blood cells that help fight diseases.
The United States Office of Dietary Supplements – National Institute of Health, states: “Vitamin E could delay or possibly prevent the onset of coronary heart disease.” On the website www.whfoods.com, 34 health challenges are listed in which Vitamin E may play a role in prevention and treatment, including acne, angina pectoris, asthma, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, breast cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, fibrocystic breast disease, gout, Graves’ disease, infertility (males), inflammatory bowel disease, macular degeneration, menopause, migraine, multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s disease, peptic ulcers, peripheral vascular disease, PMS, pregnancy-induced hypertension, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, senile cataracts, squamous cancer, stroke, tardive dyskinesia,   and vaginitis.
As you search through your kitchen gardens and cupboards, locate these natural “silent doctors” which are good sources of vitamin E: sunflower seeds, almonds, mustard greens, bell peppers, cayenne peppers, paw-paw, collard green, raspberries, tomatoes, carrots, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, oregano (poor-man pork), cranberries and wheat germ oil.
Excellent vitamin E boosters are: one cup of almond milk/coconut water, two tablespoons of sunflower seeds, two tablespoons of broccoli, one piece of paw-paw and a pinch cayenne pepper.
Combine the above ingredients and blend for three minutes. Serve on ice. Also, stuff two bell peppers with grated carrots, chopped spinach and poor-man pork. Serve with a baked sweet potato.
