I would appreciate it if you would print this letter for me because I am hurting for my sister who is involved with a man from the south. Now understand this, we are very, very close and she tells me everything.
This man only comes around when he wants sex or money. She confided in me that she has already given him over $15 000. Yes, $15 000! If she asks him to do anything for her he refuses – even after giving him all her savings.
He never takes her anywhere and always has an excuse when she asks him to go anywhere with her. My sister has nothing and I mean nothing that she can say this man has ever given her. She is the one who is always giving.
Christine, this man likes to eat big. Each time they go out to dinner she has to pay even though he is the one who would say he is taking her out. He wants everything he sees his friends with, and he would come to her and she would give him. If she cannot give him right away he would get angry and she would not see him for weeks. That is, until her next pay day.
He has never given her even a Happy Birthday card, a gift at Christmas, Valentine’s Day – no time at all. My sister is a good person and I know she is hurting. I am hurting for her, but she loves this man who does not give a damn about her except for what he can get out of her.
I tried telling her to leave him, but all she is saying is that she loves him. Christine, can you help me with this matter.

I am sorry, but I cannot help you. There is a saying that a fool and his money are soon parted. Your sister is a fool in love; one who seems content to waste her cash on this parasite. If she is blinded by what she believes to be love, there is nothing you or I can do about it.
She has confided much to you because she knows the way this man is treating her is wrong; yet she refuses to cut him off from her life.
