ST CYPRIAN’S BOYS’ came of age yesterday . . . and scored a big one for private schools across Barbados.
For the first time in the National Primary Schools’ Athletic Championships, a non-Government school ran away with a zone title when St Cyprian’s finally took home the Andrea Blackett Zone at the National Stadium.
With an Under-9 squad featuring division champ Romario Godding, Nathan Brathwaite and Jaden Webster, the boys of Brittons Hill, St Michael, struck it big while beating out more recognised names such as Ellerton, Good Shepherd and Selah.
