PINE HILL ST BARNABAS predictably retained their Senior Knockout netball crown with an easy 41-25 win over Spooners Hill at the Netball Stadium last night.
That victory over last year’s losing finalist climaxed a wonderful night for the St Barnabas club which picked up three of the four titles at stake.
St Barnabas first captured the Junior knockout by defeating Bico Delight 17-14, and then took the Intermediate 2 title by pipping UWI Blackbirds 20-18.
Shottas United won the Intermediate 1 crown by beating CO Williams Rangers 33-27.
The senior finals never sparked as Barbados six-footer Laurel Browne led St Barnabas at goal shoot with a game-high 31 goals from 39 attempts. Under-16 captain Sheniqua Thomas added eight from 11 while Shakira Boxill came off the bench in the final quarter to score two of six.
Spooners Hill’s Natalie Bailey survived a stifling defence from Shonette Bruce and Jeneice Clarke to score 22 of her team’s 25 goals. (KB)
