Prison officer charged

Prison officer Danny Michel Francisco Alleyne has been charged for unlawfully taking three mobile phone batteries into Dodds Prison.
The batteries were discovered yesterday when 31-year-old Alleyne of Denton Road, Grazettes, St Michael, reported for duty at the St Philip facility. He was searched by Prison Officers and the batteries, which had been hidden on his body, were found.
He was detained and the police were summoned.
Alleyne is expected to appear in the Bridgetown Court today. (PR/SAT)
