11-year-old boy in stable condition

An 11-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle yesterday, is in serious, but stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
Deshawn Mayers of Melrose, St Thomas was reportedly struck by a vehicle driven by Rita Batson of Welches, also in St Thomas.
Reports indicate that Mayers had alighted from a bus and was crossing the road in front of the bus, when he was struck by the vehicle. He was taken to the QEH by ambulance. (PR/SAT)
