As the second of four children, Patsy Walcott has never been alone, but that was drastically changed last week when tragedy struck twice.
Within four days, the 47-year-old lost her only brother Clyde and youngest sister Donna Small, affectionately called Donn.
Clyde, 50, died instantly in a horrific crash in the wee hours of last Monday, the Independence Day holiday. Then, 41-year-old Donna succumbed to her illness just after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Clyde had left their parents’ Workman’s, St George home and headed to the nearby district of the Valley in the hopes of catching a late bus to go and see his sister Donna at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Even though he had seen her just a few hours before, she had called twice for him to return to see her. He would never make it.
