FISHERFOLK at Oistins are hauling in favourable catches this season, but they are still encountering stiff winds in resolving a number of problems at the Berinda Cox Fish Market.
A broken jetty, too few pallet jacks and an out-of-use cold storage that needs fixing are at the heart of the frustration for the seafarers as they prepare to head out to sea in the next few weeks.
The fishermen also said the jetty with missing slabs for two years was top on the list of their concerns because the forklift does not go across the 110-metre corridor and they are forced to use the pallet jack to bring their fish to market.
