THINGS ARE RETURNING to normal at the St Mary’s Primary School following a slight dislocation this morning.

President of the Barbados Union of Teachers, Pedro Shepherd, said the union was called in to help mitigate a situation which resulted in the school and the bathrooms not being cleaned since last Thursday.

Teachers stayed away from the unclean classrooms, but Shepherd said classes were conducted in the quadrangle.

A janitor from a nearby school was brought in to assist her counterpart and Shepherd said things should be back to normal for the afternoon session. Principal Linda Archer did not speak to the Press on the issue. (YB)
