Victory for CSOS and All Stars

CALL IT a nice hockey treat outside of the hockey season.

The curtain came down on the 2015 edition of the UWIBHC Hockey Scrimfest Championships last week, with Combermere School Old Scholars (CSOS) and All Stars earning the spoils at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Hockey AstroTurf.

In the women’s final, CSOS had to battle long and hard before edging R8 2-1 in a pulsating final.
The perennial hockey giants and R8, a side comprised mainly of players hailing from CGI Maple and Massy United Insurance Empire went at each other from the opening salvo.

Those early exchanges saw the CSOS team dominating possession and creating the most chances through the highly energetic Keisha Boyce, who led the front line along with fellow national cap Katrina Downes.
