KINGSTON – Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican sustained his fine form by grabbing seven wickets to put Barbados Pride on the verge of first innings lead against Jamaica Franchise in their final round WICB Professional Cricket League match at Sabina Park yesterday.

Warrican, who captured an eight-wicket innings haul earlier in the season, collected seven for 68 in 38 overs as the hosts were restricted to 222 for nine, replying to 310.

He first struck by removing topscorer Jon-Ross Campbell for 36 after Jamaica Franchise had made encouraging progress to reach 85 for one.

Warrican claimed the first five wickets of the innings in which eight wickets fell for 116 after the second wicket partnership. (HG)
