“So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” – Genesis 3:24, KJV
My life is fascinating. I enjoy it because the Creator has given me unique spiritual gifts and physical talents. I genuinely love to cook Barbadian/Caribbean meals and deliver health lectures to those who are rehabilitating.
I normally use my spiritual gifts to assist others. Alternatively, I distinctively use them when I encounter stressful people and situations to help maintain my equilibrium. Today, I want to encourage all readers to recognise their gifts and to use them wisely.
One of the persons who helped me to recognise one of my spiritual gifts is my mother. She is a plant enthusiast. Just last week I said to her: “Granny! I am writing about the Cordyline plant next week.” We then commenced a deep spiritual discussion and in a cautionary voice she said: “Annette, I hope you are not writing those scared secrets about Cordyline in the newspaper.”
I intuitively followed the flow as she wisely communicated with me. Nevertheless, this article is a belated Mother’s Day gift to all females who live on this planet.
Silent doctor Cordyline is a highly spiritual plant. They adorn many gardens and have countless medicinal values. I have Cordyline planted at the four corners of my home and they always attract people who are very conscious of who they are. Otherwise, I am asked: “You does go to Granville’s church?” Or “Why you plant da plant at the four corners?”
A deceased friend explained to me how to plant this “good luck plant” with a coin to keep money flowing. I believe I misunderstood his directions. It is also said that this plant, which is also known as the “flaming sword”, was at the entrance to the Garden of Eden. Other names for Cordyline are good luck plant, fire leaf, king of kings and king of trees.
Research shows the young tender leaf shoots can be consumed as a vegetable. The roots are baked into a fermented drink, candy or food. In Hawaii the leaves are used to preserve breadfruit.
Cordyline is also used as a sexual enhancer. It can be used to treat many health challenges including coughs, indigestion, chest pains, back pain, inflamed gums, earache, gum abscess, excessive menstruation, blood in the urine and haemorrhoids.
I love my Cordylines. They are wonderful plants to connect with.
Next week read more about this amazing plant.
