A THREE-YEAR-old programme aimed at saving at least one man a month from joblessness, drugs, crime and other problems has reaped some successes.

One of the key people behind the project, Mount Zion Missions’ leader Reverend Dr Lucille Baird, says that some men have been helped to clean up their lives and find jobs, while a number of men have been brought closer to their families.

According to Baird, successes have occurred in communities targeted by the programme, including Eden Lodge, Deacons Farm and Emmerton Lane in St Michael, and Gall Hill in Christ Church.

She made the comments while addressing the third anniversary celebrations of the programme One Man A Month (For The Kingdom) at the Emmerton Community Centre in Bridgetown on Saturday.
