ONE CROP OVER SONG has felt the sting of being banned, just a few weeks into the season.

De Sofa Kingz has not sat well with the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and the Peter Ram and Jon Doe tune has been banned from the state-owned radio stations.

This was made public after the circulation of an inter-office memo, dated, May 22. The document was signed by programme manager of radio, Pearson Bowen, and stated: “Please note that the Crop Over song Sofa Kings (sic) is NOT cleared for airplay.”
