UWI qualify for T20 semis

Sagicor UWI trounced Police by 76 runs in the second quarterfinal of the Sagicor General T20 Cricket Championships at Kensington Oval tonight.

Police, who won the toss and offered UWI first knock, were outplayed in every facet. UWI rattled up 183 for five off 20 overs, while Police plunged to 107 all out.

Man of the match Jonathan Carter with a breezy 51, and Keron Cottoy (three wickets for 10 runs) were the top performers for the winners who will face LIME in the first semi-final on June 30.

On Wednesday night, LIME defeated Brathwaite’s Construction/Crane Resort St Catherine by 66 runs.
