POLICE SAY THEY have detained “a number” of individuals in connection the discovery of cannabis in two vehicles today.
Acting assistant superintendent David Welch said around 1:45 p.m., police intercepted one vehicle at St Bernard’s Village and another on Sugar Hill Road, St Joseph.
He said the vehicle at St Bernard’s overturned and the occupant was detained. A “significant amount” of cannabis was reportedly seized from both vehicles.
Welch said the officers “were not involved in any high speed driving”.
Investigations are continuing. (PR/NB)
