LEVI CADOGAN is aiming to become just the second Barbadian to run below 10 seconds when he dons the ultramarine and gold at the upcoming Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada.

Cadogan recently achieved a personal best of 10.06 seconds to win the men’s 100 metres title at the National Championships.

That time puts him fourth fastest among Barbadian sprinters, surpassed only by national record holder Obadele Thompson (9.87), Ramon Gittens (10.02) and Andrew Hinds (10.03).

The sprinter told WEEKEND SPORT that running the 10.06 was a major boost for his confidence and it has motivated him to run even faster. (PG)
