Driver escapes injury after car runs off road

THE DRIVER of a car escaped serious injury after it ran off the road this afternoon.

The accident occurred at Husbands, St James just after noon.

The driver, who did not want to be identified, reported that he was okay.

The vehicle careened off the road and ended up on top a mound of dirt on the site of a house under construction.

Eyewitnesses said that the pile of dirt stopped the car from plunging into a hole on the construction site. (AC)
