BWA City project

Traffic headaches in The City are about to get worse.

From today a number of traffic challenges in Bridgetown will increase as the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) and Infra Inc continue the more than $12 million Water and Sanitation System Upgrade.

The upgrade will cause minimal damage to the road surface as it will be almost exclusively done around eight feet underground using horizontal drilling but for safety purposes traffic will be diverted around the sites.

Phase One of the upgrade takes place from the Palmetto/High Street/Magazine Lane junction near Police Headquarters to the traffic lights at the Pinfold Street/Crumpton Street junction.
