KO champs keep up winning ways

KNOCK OUT champions Flow Sentry Brokers Deacons women and Barbados Bearings Progressive kept on course for double crown honours when the Goddard Enterprises Limited volleyball league continued on Wednesday night at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Deacons moved to 2/0 by staving off a challenge from Club United  25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-21 while Carlton rallied from two sets down to upend Toners 20-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-13, 15-6.

Six-footer netballer Rhea Bryant and Ayesha Maycock were outstanding for the winning Carlton who now hold a 1/2 record.

Progressive men had to restrain the fury of Shawn Simpson to defeat Cawmere 25-21, 20-25, 27-25, 25-15 in a bruising game marred by officials’ errors.
