Sweet reggae vibes fill the air

THE SWEET, positive vibes of Reggae swept across the Glebe St George, as the Bajan Green Reggae Roadshow commanded the attention of the locals last Friday night.

Held in the parking lot of theSt George Parish Church, the Reggae Roadshow, reminiscent  of cavalcades of old, sought to showcase Barbadian talent from all over the island, with St George as their kick-off point.

“We’re trying to put the words ‘Bajan’, ‘awesome’ and ‘greatness’ ‘together,’” said one of the organisers and promoters for the roadshow, Kevin Sluggy Dan Watson.

“We’re taking the music free to the public . . . If the radio stations don’t play the music, if we don’t get ‘forward’ as the young people say, we’re going to take it into our own hands,” he said.
