KNOCKOUT champions Flow Sentry Brokers Deacons and Barbados Bearings Progressive both stumbled to their first losses when the Goddard Enterprises Limited Division One Volleyball League continued on Wednesday night at the Wildey Gymnasium.
The defeats could hurt their bids to capture double-crown honours.
The most painful and incredible loss was Progressive’s to the defending league kings Chargers after being up two sets and leading 20-12 in the third set.
With Chargers carrying just a starting six including retired Division One player, Dale Addison, Progressive seemed on course for a straight sets blowout with Rico Brathwaite and the trash talking Akeem Payne making the error of “running talk” on Addison and daring him to get 20 points.
