Bishop still out

DERICK BISHOP is still not on the Barbados cricket selectors “wanted list”.

Despite mesmerising batsmen in this year’s Barbados Cricket Association’s Elite Division enroute to a tournament-high 69 wickets in just seven matches, the seasoned St Catherine left-arm spinner was noticeably missing from among the players named for the first of three Barbados Pride trial matches from September 29 to October 1 at Kensington Oval.

The 31-year-old Bishop last represented Barbados in the Stanford T20 tournament in 2008 when he took five wickets in two matches, but has indicated this could be his last season of Elite cricket.
