DUAL CLASSIC WINNER Nekitta spearheads a field of 10 horses down to contest today’s feature race – 49th Anniversary Of Independence Handicap over 1 100 metres on the BTC’s opening day of its third season.

This Lewin Godding mare who will be shouldering 125 pounds, has not sprinted for just over two years. She will be meeting three-years and old horses rated 100-80 and lower in the day’s seventh race on the nine-race card.

It promises to be an exciting race that is fairly wide open as several of those entered have exhibited ordinary form, among them Vitality, Little Man Arran and the speedy Run Alke Run.

The improving Lucky, Luckyme is the one that could take it all.
