GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN eased of beautifying one Christ Church beach after locals decided the area needed a clean-up.
Facilitator Barbara Bryan told Nation Online this morning that the group of beach users realised enterprise Beach, popularly known as Miami Beach, looked in need of a spruce up.
They decided to assist the National Conservation Commission and do so.
Bryan, a Canadian who spent the last 12 years in Barbados, said that they were more than happy to repaint the 16 picnic tables and two benches along the Oistins beach stretch using equipment donated by Berger Paints.
“People need to not complain, but to help out. We have so many visitors we want to make the beach nice for others,” she said. (MR)
Husband and wife duo Mike and Barbara Bryan played an integral role in getting the beach spruce-up going. Here they sand off old paint from this bench at Miami Beach.
