IT WAS a golden day at the Usain Bolt Complex yesterday as Ellerton’s journey from St George to usher in the annual primary schools sports proved be a beneficial one for their young athletes, especially those from Goodridge House, who completed a hat-trick of titles.
Fittingly, it was Goodridge House (Yellow) who were runaway winners of the Edwin Goodridge Memorial Inter-House Sports with 633 points, named after a former staff member of the school, who died a few years ago.
Sisnett (Blue), with 426 points, won a close battle with Gilkes (Red), who amassed 424 points for second spot.
Yellow were extremely strong among the boys with the quartet of Tyreece Cumberbatch, Jayden Goodridge, Javon Parris and Zidane Belle combining to win both the medley and 4×100-metre relays.
